"War is ..." well, not very nice, according to the famous quote by Civil War General William T. Sherman. And the technology of war has increased the ability for people to kill each other rise with every passing century.

World War I is called the first modern war. It was two collections of European countries fighting in alliances for land and pride. The U.S. eventually joined the Allies, led by Britain and France, and helped win the war.

In this WebQuest, you and a partner will research how technology affected the fighting of World War I. You will investigate what technological changes have had the most impact, and create a PowerPoint (or web page) where you give details about three of the most important technological changes in World War I. Click on Task at the top to find out specifically what you will be required to do.
