WI-HI FACULTY DEFEAT SOFTBALL TEAM IN INAUGURAL FACULTY VS. VARSITY GAME

The Wi-Hi Faculty and Staff, led by winning pitcher Dr. Banks, defeated the varsity softball team by a score of 9-5. Almost 20 staff played in the game, as did most of the Varsity Softball Lady Indians.

Dr. Banks pitched all 7 innings and had 5 strikeouts in the effort, and gave up only 1 earned run. The offense was led by Mr. Currence, whose double was the lone extra-base hit of the night. The staff took advantage of passed balls to reach bases and score two runs in the first inning. Mr. Burkhardt led the defense with two assists from left field, cutting down runners at the plate.

The Varsity were led by pitcher Stephanie Muir, who had a no-hitter through 5 innings and struck out 10, most with a devastating change-up. Lindsey Bouchard also pitched for the Varsity.
